Celebrating the Grand Opening of #AsYouWishPottery at Westgate

Last weekend I was excited to help host an event celebrating the grand opening of As You Wish Pottery Painting Studio in Westgate at Glendale, Arizona. I've told you before of my love for pottery painting and we recently visited their Deer Valley studio for some painting. I was happy when I heard the news they were opening a Westgate location closer to my home!

We gathered for a night of painting with our families. It was a fun family friendly atmosphere with pizza served by Papa Murphy's and yummy cupcakes provided by Gigi's Cupcakes! 

My family and I love to paint, we each got to pick out our own pieces to paint that evening. The new Westgate location is so spacious, perfect for hosting large parties and special events. I love that it's such a family friendly place to take your kiddos. The staff was so helpful and explained everything we needed to know and even took my girl to pick out her own paints for her special pottery. I loved that they were so hands on.

31 Days of Resting in Him.

For the longest time I've wanted to link up with the Nester's 31 Day writing challenge, where you write on the same topic for 31 days in October, and I just haven't yet. This year I'm excited to finally link up, and challenge myself to write about something God's been challenging me with the last few months. 

REST.

More specifically what it looks like to rest in Him. I'm excited to explore more of this topic and what God is revealing to me about rest. Not just in the physical sense but spiritually and mentally as well.

A Day In September

It's fun to look back on our days together and remember what we were doing. To take in all those small moments. Someday, I'll wish that my days were as simple as they are right now. So, I'm trying to relish in it, and be present even though my days are filled with poppy diapers and toddlers who won't listen.

Family Night at Rumbi Island Grill

Every Friday night we have family nights in our home. It's a great way for us to connect together and talk about our week. Even though our children are still little I'm glad we're starting this tradition with them young. Ava is old enough now that she looks forward to 'family nights' and remembers them.

Sometimes we stay in and watch a movie, sometimes we eat out, but mostly it's something really simple that our family enjoys! I was excited to try out Rumbi Island Grill for our next family night. We have one so close to our home, literally in our backyard. 

We loved the atmosphere and the food! I loved their menu as it was pretty healthy. My kiddos enjoyed it too! They have a great kids menu with traditional faves like mac n' cheese and new favorites like honey orange chicken! Kids eat free every night in September! My husband and I each had one of their delicious rice bowls and he enjoyed a slice of yummy key lime pie! With great weekly specials and catering menu as well you're sure to find something you love!
